(1) As of November 2021, História Econômica & História de Empresas (ISSN 1519-3314) adopted the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license for articles published from 2022 onward.

(2) As of the second issue of 2025, História Econômica & História de Empresas (ISSN 1519-3314) began publishing articles on a continuous publishing flow; that means that manuscripts are made available in the system as soon as they are approved and copyedited.

(3) In October 2025, the journal was included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), an international index that recognizes and certifies the quality of open access scholarly journals worldwide.
