The aim of this work is to present the process of financialisation of the Genovese Accumulation Cycle, marked by the intensification of competition among the Italian city-states, examining their relationship with the main entity that favored the growth of Genoa, Casa Di San Giorgio. Founded in 1408, the House played a vital role in administering various instruments necessary for the financing of the state of Genoa and the mercantile enterprises of the Mediterranean trade.
