The economic transformations that have occurred in Brazil in the last two decades resulted locational move businesses and jobs. This work presents a brief discussion on regional planning in Brazil, at the national
level. Was used the historical deductive method, seeking to observe the connections between the general and the particular, understanding that local realities are reflections of actions not only local, but mainly
national and regional. Was used the database of the Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS), the Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (MTE). The results showed that occurred increases in the amounts of jobs in less developed regions of the country, though there are large concentration of production activities in Southeastern Brazil.
